Thank you all so much! We raised above and beyond what we imagined, and we're so happy that thanks to you all, we get to share this film with the world! This summer we will be sending out the reward tiers, and we will no longer be accepting donations! Thanks again!

A wide-eyed, newborn sea turtle named Fin finds himself on the illuminated beaches of Miami. It's a perilous time to be a hatchling, with hazards of artificial light and debris present at every turn. With the help of Abueluna, his caring, celestial guide, Fin will make the daring trek from his cluttered nest to open seas.

Hi there! We’re Turtle Squad: a team of 15 passionate (and sleep-deprived) students from University of Central Florida’s Character Animation Specialization.

Since Fall 2016, we’ve been pouring all our hearts and souls (and coffee) into bringing Night Light to life. We will continue to work tirelessly until our April 2018 premiere where we will finally get to share our hard work.  But, our journey doesn’t stop there! Our goal is to spread the important message of Night Light to as many audiences as we can by entering it into film festivals all around the world. To achieve that, we need your help!

As undergraduate students, we do not receive a budget for our film. Making this film is a pure labor of love carried out by us and UCF’s extremely dedicated faculty. We are constantly doing everything in our power to make this film jam-packed with heartwarming fun, while bringing light to a very real issue negatively impacting the lives of sea turtles today. Your help will go a long way in helping us get Night Light out there to touch as many hearts as possible! 

Donations will be used to help pay for film festival fees, promotional goods, hiring a composer, and any other expenses the team may stumble upon during the completion of this film.
