Night Light Tree for Burning Man 2019

Hi friends. The Night Light Tree project has been awarded the Honoraria grant from Burning Man for 2019. We are extremely honored and humbled at this opportunity to bring art to Burning Man. But we still need a lot of help. Any donation, big or smal, is greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

The Project
The vision for the project was a combination of the Tenere tree, infinity light box, and a wire metal tree. The tree transforms from daylight to night time. The base is mirrored in the daylight and the tree uses natural sunlight to light up. At night the light shines from within. The trees bark and leaves light up and the base allows burners to "look into" the roots of the tree. The base lights up in a way that allows an infinity view.
About the Artist
Kathleen is the main artist on the project. With the idea set in her head she decided to enter in for the grant. She has never done anything to the scale like this before but that is definitely not stopping her. She is dedicated to seeing her idea come to life and share it with others.
She is a college student studying psychology and med. Full-time as a waitress and part-time volunteer. Attendee of Burning Man for the last two years.
Breakdown Cost
Creating the 20ft wire tree and the infinity boxes are the most expensive parts. Here is a small breakdown of the project materials.
Two-way mirror ($4,500.00)
Acrylic mirrors ($4,000.00)
30ft 11GA Bronze wire (3,000.00)
Gemstones ($1,000.00)
Lighting ($1,000.00)
Transportation ($3,500.00)
Other supplies* ($2,500.00)
