Night at the Nutcracker

Donation protected
On December 14, 2016 my little sister Abbey Jalayne Gunnell passed away from Osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. She fought the disease for quite some time. Throughout the journey she and our family was helped by many friends, family and various non-profit organizations. This has made my family want to reach out to give back.

Abbey loved the Nutcracker Ballet. She grew up dancing, and was wonderful at it. Around the Christmas season, Abbey loved to go to the ballet in Denver to see them. It was often a really nice break from the stress and confinement of surgeries. It allowed her to view the things she loved.

When brainstorming how we could give back, we wanted to think of a great way that could honor Abbey and help others. We have decided to raise money and buy tickets to the Nutcracker Ballet, and give them to patients and families at the Childrens Hospital. This would benefit them greatly, as they would be able to experience the same show that made Abbey so happy.

I love the Christmas season, and it will forevermore be bittersweet for me and my family. I hope to have this become a tradition to honor Abbey, and would love if anyone would support the cause!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
