NICU Thank You!

Most of the time when a GoFundMe page is started it is to help pay bills for a medical procedure or a funeral or some other catastrophic event that happened to a  family or person, and in this case that is true but this is not for us.  I have been asked hundreds of times throughout this whole thing by family, friends and coworkers what Andrea and I "need".  We have often reply, "right now we just need prayers' or "nothing right now but we will let you know".  So, here we are...letting you know.
I would love for everyone that has volunteered to cook us dinner, or watch Levi or whatever favor they proposed to us, to instead donate to this GoFundMe so the Clausen family can do something for the NICU nurses and doctors.  If you were going to cook us a casserole and drop it off, instead donate $8 to our site.  If you were going to give us a gift certificate to Taco Bell or McDonalds, instead donate $6.94 to our site.  We are also open to suggetions on what to do with the money.  Here are some of my thoughts:
-Dinner brought in for the whole floor (there are two units)
-Something for their breakroom...ie, coffee k-cups, power bars, etc
-Car wash coupons
-Something for the other families that come through the NICU

I would love to hear some suggestions.   We had more than a dozen great nurses and a handful or so doctors that showed us so much love and support.  We also had 2 nurses that we can never thank enough and we will never forget.  Through this whole process we have learned that lesson that life teaches you every so often.... there are others far worse off than yourself.  We got to bring our baby home after 15 days.  Others are not so lucky.  But, we do know, there are HEROES in the NICU that go there every day to help.  They do it willingly and have to be on their game every single day, every single hour and be able to talk to families going through the worse times of their lives in a manner that eases their heavy hearts.

Our Bryce is now home and we are over the moon happy.  He is healthy and happy because of the whole staff of NICU doctors and nurses at Methodist.  In a world full of negative, isn't it refreshing to do something good for someone else?  Isn't it refreshing to hear about good people doing good things?  Isn't it refreshing to reward someone for being the very best person they can be?

Thank you, again, to everyone for the texts, phone calls, messages, cards and everything else.  We love you all.  We love our new little Bryce man.  We love all those NICU heroes.
