NICU Holidays Thanks

We spent he holidays in the NICU with our Twin Boys, who were born at 26 weeks. To be honest that was so hard and depressing By that time we were going on our 4th month of being there. Everyone got to wake up in their homes with their families, Christmas Tree, Gifts, and a huge homemade special holiday meal. My little family watched Christmas Story on an iPad and opened gifts in hospital rooms 1440 and 1441. Then my husband and I got to eat hospital food that we loved and hated at this point.
The nurses, doctors, and therapists became such a part of our support and family while we were there. Especially during the holidays. It was nice to see familiar faces and take pictures. The medical staff spends their time away from their families to take care of mine.
So I'd like to give back this year. I get to wake up in my own bed, have a Christmas Tree this year, and eat a fancy homemade meal. There are still going to be NICU families on the 14th floor in Luries and Medical Staff that has to be there for the holidays.
The money that is raised through this Campaign will go for a nice meal delivered, baked goods, and hopefully some coffee! That was my life line while having to be there.
Nobody should have to eat a hospital turkey sandwich on the Holidays while their babies are sick.
