Nicolette's Ankle Surgery

We never expected to fall in love with our nanny and for her to become such an integral part of our family....but she has! With that connection has come all the emotions which surround family life. Nicolette has been dealt a tough hand in life, yet she has met unbearable news with a bright attitude and positive spirit. Nicolette was diagnosed with bone cancer at a very young age. The trials, studies, and surgeries have been endless and now, at 23 she's meeting another yet another obstacle. Her doctors are encouraging her to undergo two ankle surgeries to help support her failing bones and reduce her pain. She has successfully pulled through one of the surgeries...YAY! A second still awaits. The surgeries use bio-cartilage and bone marrow stem cells to plug holes in her bones and promote healing through scaffolding of her natural cartilage.


We want to help Nicolette relieve some of the financial stress of the surgeries. Not only is she out of work for a minimum of 4 months, but she had to go well out of pocket for a portion of the surgeries, as the bio-cartilage is not covered by her insurance. We all know how that feels! Lucky for Nicolette, we all care for her and hope for a swift recovery!! Please help us support our family!
