Nicole Brooks-DeOrio Medical Fund

Nicole was diagnosed with breast cancer last August. Since then, she has gone through extensive surgery and treatment. She was on the road to recovery and the future looked positive. Unfortunately, in late spring, she started to experience symptoms of concern. A colonoscopy revealed that she has a tumor of significant size in the colon/rectal region of the body. Further tests and scans revealed that she has two smaller sized tumors on her liver. Nicole is currently undergoing chemotherapy to shrink all tumors. She is scheduled for surgery to remove the tumors on her liver in August. After that surgery, she will continue with chemotherapy and radiation to treat the other tumor. Surgery to remove the other tumor will be at a later time. Needless to say, her world...our world has been turned upside down.
