Nico and Noah

Hi, my name is Jazmin and I am fundraising for my twins Nico and Noah. The boys were born as micropreemies at only 25 weeks. Both boys were born with a PDA. Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA) is an opening between two blood vessels leading from the heart.  Nico’s was so severe that he had to be sent a different hospital for heart surgery, leaving Noah behind at the other hospital. We were with Nico at the other hospital for 2 weeks. During this time, my husband and I were unable to work as I was too far away. My husband was basically the milkman and would drive 4 hours, total, each day to take fresh breastmilk to Noah. Nico’s procedure went well and we were able to be reunited with Noah! Since then, I have decided to not return to work and focus solely on the boys. They have a long way to go as they will be needing me in the NICU to breastfeed. This is so they learn to suck, swallow and breath. We are hoping the boys do well with this so that they don’t have to go home with a feeding tube.

we were not able to have a baby shower as I went into preterm labor 2 weeks prior to when they were born. The donations would help cover medical expenses and buy cribs and other items needed for the nursery so we can be prepared for when they come home!
