Nicky & Ayden's New Home

Donation protected
My sister Nicole Cabral who was born and raised here in New Bedford suffered a tragedy on the fourth of July. While out celebrating with friends and family her entire apartment complex burnt down. She arrived to a boarded up shell of what use to be her home. Everything  was lost in the fire!
After serving ten years in the Army and two tours in Iraq, she has spent the last few years finishing up her college degree. She is a single mom who is caring, devoted, motivated, and compassionate.
We would like to help ourveteran to get back on her feet as soon as possible and any money you could donate would be very helpful and appreciated.

"Got home late last night after a fun filled day on the lake to find out my apartment complex caught on fire. It was all boarded up and they wouldn't let me in. The roof collapsed and there was a lot of damage. There are 12 displaced families - about 30 people total. Ayden, our kitty, and I are all okay, but seems like we will have to replace everything. It's all very sad and I'm still in shock, but it's all just stuff and replaceable. I'm just happy we are okay, have love, each other, friends and family that are there for us when we need them the most. I still feel blessed and grateful. It's the little things in life and love that matter the most. Cherish every moment, be grateful for all the little things and always choose kindness." - Nicky 7/5/17
