Nick's SCAD Tuition Fund
Donation protected
Hello! I am attending the Savannah College of Art and Design this coming Spring Quarter to study Film and Television production and I need help funding my tuition cost.
My life's passion is to create films that will touch an audience from all across the world. SCAD's film program will be a key factor in achieving my dream. Their facilities are top-notch, as well as their teachers. The employment rate post-graduation is in the mid ninties as well.
Because of SCAD being a great school for art, and particularly film, the cost of tuition is rather high. I will have to pay roughly $13000 per quarter (this includes tuition, housing, meal plan, books and supplies); payments are done per quarter. The great thing is that SCAD has awarded me $3666 for each quarter, based on my academics and awards from High School and the films I submitted.
I graduated with a 3.944 GPA, a Gold Chord, and a social studies award. I also placed twice in the school's writing contest. Another great thing is that I earned college credit based on the three AP classes I took in high school. This means that I have one quarter of college already complete, saving me roughly $11000.
The reason why I am starting in Spring 2018, and didn't start in Fall 2017, was because I took time off to work a full time job at Gordon Food Service. The money that I earned there will be used for books and supplies, as well as to fund any film projects I might work on outside of school. I do not qualify for any goverment grants for the 2017/2018 school year, because of the amount of money my parents had after they sold our house and moved; however my parents will not contribute any money towards my college. Also, I applied for a government loan, to which my savings will help pay for.
The goal of $5500 will help lower the amount needed in loans. Please consider helping me out. I really want to go to SCAD and create art so I can help change the world.
Thank You for your consideration.
