Nick and Mary Adey

Nick and Mary recently lost their newborn son Beau. We'd like to support them during this difficult time and raise funds to help cover hospital and funeral expenses, and assist with missed time at work. Below is the story in their own words. Please consider supporting this wonderful family.

We would like to share our story...Went from one the best days of our lives to worse than our worst nightmare. We went into labor late Wednesday and everything was going well. It wasn’t until the end that things took a turn for the worst. Started with pushing to being rushed into an emergency c-section due to Beau’s heart rate being unstable. When they got in it appeared that the placenta had ruptured and detached from the uterine wall. This means our precious baby was without blood or oxygen for an unknown period of time. The team of doctors performed CPR for almost 2 hours. The head doctor came to us as we were praying and hoping for a miracle that things would turn around and let us know there was nothing else they could do. His levels were far off what they should be. When they went to stop his little heart started beating. He was transferred to Kapiolani baby hospital, the highest baby trauma center in the state of Hawaii. Nick was overnight with Beau while Mary had to stay due to the c-section. A very large team of doctors tried all they could to bring our sweet precious Beau to life. His brain was too badly damaged and had no activity. We got to spend one very precious and unforgetful day with our strong, handsome Beau man! We appreciate all the love and support from you all during this extremely heart wrenching and difficult time.
