Do Something NICE for De-NICE!

Donation protected
As you may have heard, Denise required another operation on her lung last week.  This has been her third – and hopefully – the last!

While we are all thrilled that this procedure was largely successful – Denise’s initial discharge schedule from the hospital has been a bit – unpredictable.  In fact, while she was sent home on Monday, she has just been readmitted with a collapsed lung.  When things are stabilized and she is able to go home, the doctors have initially recommended that Denise not work and rest for at least six weeks.  Not being able to work will have a significant impact on Denise’s ability to keep things ticking over.

~  For those that know Denise – they know how much she loves life.  How much she loves to laugh.  How positive and resilient she is and how much she really enjoys surprises – surprising others and being NICE.

~  For those that know Denise – they know how much she loves being a mother – how hard she will work for her family and just how much she will sacrifice everything for Holly and Paul.  She would do whatever it takes to provide for her family.

~  For those that know Denise – they know how much she loves and appreciates her family and friends; and how far she will go out of her way for anyone who needs something she could help with.

~  For those that know Denise – they know how generous she is with her time and with whatever she has.  Prayer for others is something she is particularly generous with.

~  For those that know Denise – they know that she is practical and a self-described 'simple woman' with 'simple needs'.

~  For those that know Denise – they know that a ‘hand up’ would be gratefully, and graciously accepted (not so much a ‘hand out’).  The 'hand up' will help her keep things on track while she is unable to work for a bit until she is strong enough to do so again.

During this past week, some of her friends and family have come up with several ideas to help rally around her and the children – so that for those few critical weeks, she can focus mainly on healing and not using precious energy worrying about how to support her family.

The GoFundMe platform requires that a ‘target amount’ to be set.  As Denise will not be able to work for at least six weeks – after much deliberation it was agreed to set a target amount at $5,000.  If you are able to help – even a little bit, know that every little bit helps.  Together we can make a huge difference – one person at a time.

Denise is known for saying, “I got this”.  This is how we can say to Denise – “We got this”.

For those that don't know Denise – yet, you will; because the generosity you extend to her, will be returned to you – personally.  Because that's the kind of woman Denise is.  And this is why there are so many reasons why we call her:  'De-nice'.

So whatever and however you can, please join us in the rally to “Do Something NICE for De-NICE!”

On behalf of Denise, Holly and Paul – thank you so very, very much for your generosity!!!
