Nicaragua Spring Break Missions

From March 17th-25th of 2018, I, along with 20 men from the 17th Ave House (a Christian Fraternity where I have spent the last 4 years), will forego Cabo and spend Spring Break serving with Connect Ministries in Nicaragua. Our main emphasis will be on partnering with a local soccer team comprised of young men to build relationships and prepare a plot of land that will become their very own soccer field. Many of the young men lack people who come alongside and encourage them, resulting in a lot of time spent in the streets drinking and sleeping around. It will be special to join them, helping create a place where they would rather spend their time and can engage Christ in the sport that they love. In addition, we will have the opportunity to spend time playing baseball, serving meals, and loving on younger boys in an inner-city community located in one of the harshest places in Managua. These boys are often locked out of their homes, leaving them on the street where they are subject to many of the same poor influences that the soccer guys deal with.


If you are interested, I would ask that you partner in this adventure with me. Firstly, and most importantly, I would ask that you partner with me in prayer. We want this trip to have substantial impact on both the Nicaraguans and on us, but we also understand that not everything is in our control. Throughout our meetings and planning before the trip, I would love prayer for God to prepare both our hearts and the hearts of those we are going to serve. We also need prayer for us to fulfill whatever the people need while we are there, for us to be Christ’s ambassadors. If you feel led, you can also partner with me financially.
