Double Blessings believes in reaching those in need through a loving touch, prayer, or a basic necessity like food or clothing. We believe we are called to help the broken and forgotten in any way we can. Our mission is to spread the love of God to whoever and wherever we feel led to go, no matter the circumstance the person might find themselves in.
This August we are being led to a place where our heart for missions started, Nicaragua. We will be drilling a clean water well for a village that has no clean running water. This well can help save the lives of many in the community. I can remember vividly the last time we were there one woman after another from the village stood up and told us heartbreaking stories. The stories were of the children they have lost to simple diseases from ground wells they drink from. Many children die to unclean water they are drinking and lack of hygiene skills. This clean water well will save lives and help a whole community have a basic need we take for granted everyday.
Among bringing clean water we will also be teaching hygiene and dental lessons for the villagers. This will help keep them safe and raise the quality of life for them. We will be bringing supplies not only to the villages but to a local school as well. We will be donating tooth brushes, tooth paste, toys, blankets, sports equipment and many more items.
