Funeral Expenses for Lourdes Cruz

Lourdes Cruz is a former student of mine and many of my teacher colleagues. I met Lourdes when she was in first grade at Prairie Norton. She would have turned 16 this April and was a sophomore at Westland High School.
Lourdes was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in the spring of last year. She had many, many surgeries, and many treatments. Unfortunately, the cancer kept returning and metastasized to many other parts of her body. Sadly, Lourdes passed away today, March 1.
On February 14, we were able to attend Lourdes' dream Valentine party. It was graciously funded by the Make A Wish Foundation. The photo collage you see is from that party.
There has undoubtedly been a financial strain on Lourdes' mother. She has been unable to work the past few months as Lourdes required constant care.
We are hoping you will bless this family by funding the funeral, as well as helping to purchase the burial plot. We can't imagine having to bury a child, let alone worry about how to pay for it. Thank you in advance for your gracious donations.
