NI Air Ambulance Cycling Festival

Apollo Cycling team and friends promote a day of cycle racing and celebration of our sport on Sunday 26th May at Kirkistown Race track. This is a very unique event as never before has a club taken on running races on the same day at the same venue for road racing/cyclocross and Time trialing , open to Male/Female/Kids and Paracyclist.
As the title says we want this to be a festival of cycling and we want to bring together all sections of this great sport and in doing so raising funds for a very worthwhile charity, the Northern Ireland Air Ambulance.
The aim of this GoFundMe page is to raise enough money to cover the costs of running the event, so the full proceeds raised from the event go to the charity. Any excess money raised through here will be added to the final amount going to the charity.
We have organised the day in a way that keeps people interested all day long and that they stay the whole day and enjoy the food stalls and cycling related stalls .
The NI Air Ambulance is a very worthwhile cause and one of our own club members owes his life to them when they were able to get him to a hospital for life saving surgery after a horrific motor cycle accident. The Air Ambulance evolved from the need for it in the world of motorcycling and many more Motorcyclist will owe their lives to the Air ambulance over the coming years. This valuable service is also vital for the community of Northern Ireland and any road traffic accident will have access to a service that can get casualties to hospital on time.
We present a day of 9 races on a safe, closed circuit.

Summer cycle cross, fast and dusty.
U10-U16 Crit races
Para cycling Individual TT
Separate A4, A3 , Female and S1/2 handicapped Racing.
Local shops and cycle brand Expo.
Come to race and stay to cheer.
