Springbrook Heritage Alliance Legal

Will you help us stay in the fight to save Riverside's oldest neighborhood?  For the past six years Springbrook Heritage Alliance has been fighting to stop a 308,000 sf warehouse from destroying the area once known as La Placita de los Trujillos (est. 1844).  Thousands of people love this place--they live here, work here, participate in youth sports, attend school and church.  If the warehouse goes in, it will end up Industrial. Two years ago we filed a CEQA lawsuit against the City for approving the project without an EIR which we believe would show that this project is wrong for the location.  Last month the judge denied our petition with no explanation.  On January 21 we appealed our case to the State Appellate Court.  Thanks to all those who have donated in the past for making it possible for us to stay in the fight!  Our expenses will be minimal this time around, but our attorney is donating her time on the condition we pay the legal costs.  All contributions pay our Legal Fees--we are all volunteers and there is no overhead.  Please note that although we are a non-profit community group, we are not tax-exempt.
