Mission Trip to Guatemala

I am going on my very first international missions trip!!  I know God has been encouraging me to take this step for several years now and I'm finally doing it! I will be traveling to San Raimundo, Guatemala with my church - Journey Christian Church to work through a ministry called Casas por Cristo. We will be building 5 houses from the ground up for 5 families. I am doing this because I believe that God wants me to serve. I know that by serving in this capacity He will give me a glimpse into a culture far differnt from my own. Additionally, I'm hoping to be shown a greater appreciation for what He has done for me and how blessed I really am in this life. My hope is that He will open my eyes to what I can do to be of greater service to Him. I will also be traveling with my 17 year old son Elias and my prayer is that this will both open his eyes to the heart of God and give the two of us a great bonding memory.

The trip is July 5 - 11, 2015 and I hope you will support me. I will need your prayer support for safety and good health. Also, that the people we will be serving will be open to our help and that they will see the hands and feet of Jesus at work through our team. Additionally, should you feel called - I could use your financial support. The cost is $1650 per person, which covers airfare, food, lodging and building materials for the construction of the houses.
