Help me with my short film.

 

Hi everyone my name is Riccardo, I'm a Photographer and a Film student living in Los Angeles and I need your help with my short film. Becoming a film director was my dream since I can't remember, and now that I finally have a chance to work on that goal, I'm having some financial limitations. Although Los Angeles is the place to be for a film production career, it comes with several red tapes and can become very costly very fast.

 

What is the movie about?

On his way to his sister in San Francisco, Marcus’ car broke down in the middle of nowhere. A stranger invites him to spend the night at her cabin.

 

This short film is a psychological thriller with a bit of supernatural, and without the proper financial support, it will be impossible to achieve the special effects, the practical effects as well as the makeup necessary to convey the thrill that I wish to achieve.

 

This short film contains some scenes that happen on a canyon road, and just to obtain the permits to film on a section of that road is about $5 000. When you add equipment rentals, actors fees, props, crew... the whole budget comes to roughly $17 000, and that's what led me to launch this Gofundme. Once the film is done, I'll submit it to multiple film festivals, and I'm hoping that it will open some doors for my filmmaking career. I will also use this short film to support my case, as it is requested by the university that I'm transferring to as part of my creative portfolio, which is why I need your assistance as soon as possible.
