Allison & Marshall's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
My name is Joy Walker and I am Allison Olson-Walker’s stepmother. I created this GoFundMe page with her and Marshall Wylie’s consent.

On May 23, 2020, in an unprovoked attack, Marshall was brutally beaten by four white men outside the place of his employment. Allison was present during the assault and was also assaulted. Thankfully, the baby she was carrying was not harmed. Marshall suffered multiple concussions and lacerations, a subconjunctival hemorrhage to his eye, fractured neck, and bruised ribs. During the attack, the men called him the N-word and stole belongings off his person. Marshall has been since diagnosed with PTSD and traumatic brain injury. He has over $30,000 in medical bills because of this attack. So far only one of the perpetrators has been arrested and is facing trial.

As for Allison, she found out she was pregnant in early spring, after she and her ex-boyfriend broke up. She made the brave choice to give her child life, and Marshall made the noble choice of standing by Allison during her pregnancy even though the child is not biologically his. Allison was born with hip dysplasia, and by the time she was two years-old, she had five major surgeries to fuse her hips into place. Pregnancy has aggravated this condition and she has been unable to work for the past month (doctor’s orders) due to the intense pain in her hips. Before this, she was working 40-60 hours per week. Before the attack, Marshall was working full time as well.

2020 has been a hard year for EVERYONE, but especially them. Marshall is set to begin a new job on 12/1/2020, Allison is due with baby girl on 12/19/20, and they are in need of a vehicle. A vehicle that can take Marshall to work and Allison and the baby to appointments, etc. All money given will go directly to purchasing a vehicle.

More than anything, Marshall and Allison ask for your prayers. Prayers for healing, for a healthy baby and smooth delivery, prayers for provision and a renewed sense of hope and joy.

Thank you and God bless.
