On Thursday March 1, 2018 she was so happy to get some dental work done by that
later that evening she was taken by ambulance to Methodist complaining of trouble breathing, stomach pain and overall not feeling well. later that day she became confused and the trouble breathing became severe and was put in ICU. On Friday doctors decided to do exploratory surgery thinking it might be gall bladder. Doctors said they just closed her back up because she might not survive. She had multiple organ failure and sepsis and septic shock and put on life support. They told us they were expecting Kristie to pass that day. Well she survived that night!! She fought for her life! After numerous procedures her heart and lungs failed and was careflight to Baylor for a procedure called ECMO, unfortunately, her lungs hemorrage after the procedure started. Kristie fought like the tough girl she is.
