NH Kids Care was started by Windham NH Middle school student Annabella Gill. She is creating new and innovative ways that kids her age can help kids in need in her community. In 2017, she started a costume drive, collecting gently used costumes and donating 69 of them to the Windham Sheppard's Pantry. In 2018 over 100 costumes were collected and shared among several community partners supporting children.
This year we are planning at least 8 collection points in the surrounding towns between Nashua and Salem, and partnering with both Nashua Children's Home and Marguerites Place.
We would like to continue our efforts this year with a Winter drive, collecting donations to further support their needs for blankets and towels (that must be new). We will also be collecting snowpants and snowgear as they have expressed a need for these additional items.
Annabella has recruited the assistance of other Middle Schoolers to support this effort and raise awareness. We will work with the community and specifically the children to get new ideas for projects to best support the needs of these charitable organizations supporting kids in our community.
