Let's give Second Chance Thrift its second chance!
Second Chance Thrift has been a beloved cornerstone of the community of Virginia Beach for the past 10 years. Sadly, like many businesses, Second Chance Thrift closed temporarily due to the pandemic with hopes of reopening when possible. The closure resulted in the loss of their beloved employees, faithful customers, their dedicated support to VBSPCA, and a loss of income. Unfortunately, not being open for two months has caused a hardship with continuing to pay their rent and therefore resulted in having to close permanently.
Recently, on a NextDoor post, it came to the community's attention of what was happening to this amazing little neighborhood store. Many people were asking how they could help or if a GoFundMe had been set up. Therefore, I have set up this GoFundMe for Second Chance Thrift to help them reopen in either it's same location or a new one if necessary. In the event that the store cannot reopen, the funds will be forwarded to VBSPCA.
It would mean the world to help save this favorite gem of a thrift store, not only to the owner Bob and his family, but to the community as well.
