Kristin's Krusaders

Kristin Walters has Spinal Muscular Atrophy which causes severe muscle weakness throughout her body. She carrys a 4.0 GPA at our Community College when she can sustain enough energy to take classes. She wants all of the things that a 20 year old woman wants and has been working on her independence for the last few years. 

On February 5, 2015, she was admitted to ICU with acute respiratory failure and was unable to breathe on her own.  As we are entering her 4th week in ICU, there is a bright light at the end of the ICU doors. She has greatly improved and we hope she will be discharged soon. 

This medical incident has taken its toll on Kristin, who will be requiring round the clock care as we bring her home.  She will still need medical support, therapies, and lots of food! ( she lost 30 lbs, down from 100)
As her mother, I have not been able to work either of my 2 jobs so I can do what I do best, care for her! The bills are piling up, she needs supplies and equipment that insurance will not cover. Many people have asked how they can help and Go Fund Me was reccommended by several friends and family members. If you can help, we are very thankful and if its not in your budget, we understand.
