NFTY-TORkun Olam: Helping Children One Pencil at a Time
This year, NFTY-TOR is shooting for the stars and dreaming big! It’s time for us to make a BIG impact. We are working with Sam Houston Elementary, an economically disadvantaged school in Conroe, Texas. For the 73% Hispanic, 17% African American, and 8.5% white population, the vast majority are on a free/reduced lunch program. 83% are economically disadvantaged and 58% are English language learners. We need your help to raise money for the school's first set of iPads. These students deserve every opportunity to learn with the best technology. Not only would iPads help them look forward to coming to school, but also it would give them a fun and exciting way to learn. There is not a single classroom in Sam Houston Elementary that has a set of iPads, so we want to change that. We urge you to support our cause by making a donation that will go towards the purchase of iPads and school supplies! Any donation is greatly appreciated and much needed!
