13U Huskies' Field Renovations

              We are the members of the 13U 2001-02 Northern Huskies baseball team.  Our team has been together for four years.  As we move out of Little League, we have joined the Macomb Area Baseball Federation to continue playing the game we love with the friends we have made.  Unfortunately, local little league fields can no longer accommodate us due to field dimensions and availability.   Until recently, there was nowhere for our team to play.

           We are lucky enough to have been given the opportunity to play at the Bearss Memorial Field in Clyde Township.  However, the field has not been used in approximately five years.  Attached are pictures of some of the work we have already completed on the field with the help of our parents and some donated equipment.  We have also installed base pegs at the correct dimensions and straightened out the back stops.  We still have to construct the mound, install an appropriate infield cover and tie down the bottom of the fences.     

          To complete our baseball careers and bring competitive teen baseball back to the area, we need your help.  The safe and proper infield material for the Bearss Field will cost approximately $5,000.00.  If we raise the money for the field, Clyde Township has agreed that we will have first priority on the filed for all of our practices and home games for two years.  Our parents have already done the work shown below, and paid for our uniforms, tournaments, equipment and umpires.  Now we are trying to raise the money for the remaining field improvements ourselves.  

           Please support us in any way you can.  Any donation of $500.00 will receive a complimentary outfield banner displayed at all home games.  Your support will help not only our team, but many baseball players and fans for years to come.
