<div>Partington Theatre sits inside a beautiful Grade II listed building in the heart of Glossop, in the Norfolk Square conservation area.  Built in 1914 as the local headquarters for the Liberal Party the building is testament to the techniques and skills of the day.  It was converted to a theatre in the 1950s.  It was not designed or converted with modern accessibility in mind, and it is no easy feat to change something old into something new, but it is possible in some ways.  While we are not currently at the stage of being able to make the building accessible to those with mobility issues, we can start to make our performances and events accessible to those with less obvious or hidden disabilities.

<div>It is, and always will be the plan of Partington Theatre to strive to provide the best theatrical experience for the townsfolk of Glossop and surrounding areas.  This fund is to assist in researching and providing accessible performances for those for whom we can, starting with BSL interpreted and audio described performances for our deaf and blind patrons.
