Our beloved Clallam County Correctional Deputy, Chuck Sanders has been diagnosed with Cancer.
This may come as a shock to many
-as “Sanders” is one of the toughest men you will ever have the pleasure to meet.
It’s a little known fact that Chuck Sanders and “illness” have never crossed paths -until now.
Chuck Sanders has always been one to put others before himself. His ability to work hard could easily pass him as a 25 year old, his enthusiasm, fortitude and ability to find humor in even the direst of situations has helped both friends, coworkers and inmates alike at the Clallam County Jail over the years.
Chuck Sander’s God given gift and ability to ease difficult situations, while calming and deescalating strenuous and strained temperaments has impacted thousands of lives.
Chuck Sander’s trust , confidence & solid understanding of his craft leaves those individuals in his charge at the Clallam County Jail better for knowing him, as his calling, character, integrity and determination to provide care is always a constant. Even in the deepest of waters for those who are in crisis or for those who need a man of steel and strength to intervene on their behalf, Chuck has always been there.
Chuck has kept many friends spirits up in times of strife and always brings humor and gladness wherever he goes.
Chuck is greatly missed at the Clallam County Jail where coworkers and inmates alike count the days until he can return to work.
As you can imagine, Chuck has recently had to endure medical procedures in the last 3 months that now he and his family are looking at in the several thousands of dollars in “out of pocket” expenses.
To Help Chuck and his family, his coworkers and friends are starting this GoFundMe Page to help in any monetary way possible, little or big, to offset some of these astronomical expenses that have hit Chuck Sanders and his family.
