Help fulfill our Dad's Bucket List

Donation protected
Our dad Keith Gilley is a great man. He loves the Lord and lives his life to honor Him. He has worked hard his whole life to provide for our family and help others along the way.

Sadly, our dad is slowly dying. He has Stage 5 Chronic Kidney Disease. A person with stage 5 chronic kidney disease has end stage renal disease. At this advanced stage of kidney disease, the kidneys have lost nearly all their ability to do their job effectively. He has attempted to be added to the transplant list, but his weight and age disqualify him. Donor Services will not reevaluate him at this time, despite his losing a great deal of weight. His levels are currently steady, but are not high enough to be approved for dialysis. Combined with other health issues, Dad tires easily, has muscle cramps, headaches, tingling in his hands and feet, as well as other things. The toxins can't be cleaned out of his blood effectively because his kidneys are not functioning well. So, he is sick most of the time.

Dad has a few things on his bucket list. One of those things is to see his son, Kyle, get married. The wedding is planned for July 4 of this year in his fiancé's hometown of Holland, Michigan. Another is to tour the Henry Ford Museum, which is also in Michigan.

The trip for the wedding will likely be his last long trip. Money is tight with medical bills and the usual household bills. Mom is disabled as well. We would love for him to be able to go and enjoy himself without having to worry about how much it is going to cost.

Please help us bless Dad with a trip to Michigan. Money raised will go toward the costs of transportation, hotel, and some sightseeing while there. He is not one to ask for help. In fact, he is being selfless in not wanting a live donor for a kidney, should he be allowed a transplant, because he doesn't want anyone to have to undergo that surgery and the resulting possible complications. Any amount will help.

Thank you for Your Help,
His Children
