Hovekamp Fire Fund

Donation protected
On February 27th, 2015. The Hovekamp family lost everything they owned in a devistating house fire. Derric and Katie have had several bumps in the road, but had finally found  home to rent for them and their children. Things had started to finally look up and there was light at the end of the tunnel. (we've all been there) Katie was home taking care of the kids when she noticed smoke in the kitchen coming from the garage. An electrical fire had started and quickly spread to the ceiling and through the house. Katie's mothering instincts took over and she did what any good mother would do, and grabed the kids and got them out. Unfortunatley, there wasn't enough time to grab shoes and coats, and there is a half a foot of snow and ice on the ground. She had to take the children to the neighbors as the car was in the garage that was now engulfed in flames. Derric who was at work got there in time to see his home disappear. This family lost their clothes, shoes, pictures, family pet, memories, security, and peace of mind. The damage has gone beyond the material. I have set this up to give the Hovekamp family hope, it's going to take years to recover from the damage this fire has caused, but through people with huge hearts, and the willingness to reach out a hand and help we can get them back on their feet. Any contribution is appreciated. Please pray for comfort and blessings for this family, that everyone that hears their story of tragedy and loss and the coming blessings and recovery sees God move and are blessed by this story. Thank you so much.
