Leslie, a fellow Theresian, is a classmate of mine in highschool. We're used to seeing her blonde curly hair stand out from the crowd as we cheer for her and our volleyball team on the court. Or pay close attention to her instructions as one of the high ranking officers of our Citizens Army Training Program. Her serious and stern demeanor on the court and on the training field is the complete opposite when she's hanging out with us during our free time because she has one of the bubbliest personalities in our class. Her smiles, words of encouragement and congenial approach towards everyone has at one time or another brightened up our hectic days in school.
In the past years, we've been broken hearted to see her struggle with 4th stage breast cancer which has now spread to her lungs and bones. She was supposed to be in a hospice after staying in the hospital for sometime but she's back in the hospital again for another procedure. Despite all these challenges, she continues to be as bubbly and as vibrant as she was more than 20 years ago.
In behalf of her family, we are knocking on your kind and generous hearts to share your blessings to her. Her family is trying to keep up with her bills and needs; and since it's been years of medication and confinement, their funds are sadly running out. We will always be grateful for your generosity and selflessness. We hope to keep Leslie's smile as bright and inspiring as she continues to be strong in her fight with cancer. Please include her in your prayers.
