Newtown RFC Christmas food drive donations

Donation protected
Your Town needs you!

Newtown Rugby club will be collecting food donations again for the Salvation Army to donate to families in the Town. We only have a week as the Salvation Army need to get the parcels out by 2nd week of December.

After last years successful appeal which alleviated the hunger of so many local families and children, once again Newtown RFC are asking the good people associated with this inclusive rugby club to donate food items so that no child goes hungry.

2020 has been an extremely challenging year, especially for children and more so for the more vulnerable families and children locally. No child deserves to go hungry.

Newtown RFC are asking that you donate food as generously as you possibly can in order to stop families and children going hungry this Christmas. Maybe we could even beat last years staggering amount of food that was given. The gift is within us.

Together we can and we will make a difference and ensure the children of Newtown and surrounding areas have a better Christmas.

Food will be collected by coaches and managers of all teams on respective training nights. A drop off and collection protocol will be in place taking into account of Covid guidelines. Please could donations be given the week commencing Monday 30th November finishing on Friday 4th December as food needs to be quarantined before handing over to the Salvation Army. They in turn need to get the food parcels out by the week commencing Monday 11th December.

If you are unable to donate food, please use this GoFundMe page to make financial donations and a shop will be done on your behalf.

ALL DONATIONS BY MIDNIGHT FRIDAY 27th NOVEMBER.
