New Lungs for Nathan

My name is Jillian Fiebelkorn. I am honored to be part of a tightly knit group of people that work together at a small, family owned company. This winter, a member of our special team, Nathan Malecki, ended up in the hospital, where he would begin the greatest fight of his life: his battle with his Cystic Fibrosis.
Nathan is a gentle soul. He is kind hearted, witty and smart as a whip, but unfortuntely, he was born with and has struggled with Cystic Fibrosis his entire life. Shortly after celebrating his 37th birthday in February, he caught a cold that turned into pneumonia, which he just could not beat. As a result, he has been in and out of the hospital for the last five months, unable to return to work and life as he knew it. He is currently in the ICU at Harper Hospital where they have a special CF unit. It is there that he received the news that he needs a lung transplant in order to survive.
If you have ever had a loved one in the hospital, you know how helpless you can feel. I would do anything to take away Nathan's pain, to fix him, to get him back on his feet so he can begin living life again. Our hope is to join together and raise money to help Nathan with the medical costs that come with a five month hospital stay and a hopeful lung transplant in the near future. The financial burden for this treatment and care is extremely heavy and causes additional stress and pressure. If each of us just makes a small sacrifice (even as small as one less meal out of the house or putting that Amazon purchase on hold) our seemingly SMALL donations become a BIG help.
One final thought I would like to leave you with is this. Do you know how many breaths you took while reading this? It probably didn't even cross your mind - it's something most of us dont even think about, but not Nathan - each breath is a real struggle and is so very precious to him! If you could donate a dollar for every breath you took while reading this, it would make an enormous difference in Nathan's life.
