Support Johnene & Baby Ward

Their love story was like the ones you hear about in a novel. In 2011, Torrey Ward was traveling from Alabama for work to Tampa when he met Johnene Beisel, a sight for sore eyes, on a night out & fell in love almost instantly. Without a pause, they started their long distance relationship. They fought to make it work- fought hard. And it did. In March 2014, Torrey put a ring on it! The planning began-Johnene immediately got her life in order and in June she was out! She was moving to Bloomington IL to be with the man of her dreams. No time was wasted, before you knew it-Baby Ward was on its way! Their happily ever after was about to begin. They spent the following season planning and decorating, in anticipation for the baby boy or girl that would be arriving that coming April; they would wait to find out until then. Exactly 3 weeks before the expected day, tragedy would change their lives forever.

On Tuesday April 7th, 2015, while returning home from the NCAA mens basketball championship game in Indianapolis, IN., 7 men were involved in a horrific plane crash, which claimed all the lives on board. Torrey Ward lost his life that morning.
Bloomington IL, Illinois State University (where Torrey was the Associate head basketball coach), family and friends gathered to mourn the loss of these men. It was a sad day for so many.

And such it was for Johnene as well-everything they had been looking forward to,  gone in an instant.
Johnene is one of the most loving, giving, supportive, and genuine people I have ever met. She is also very humble-rarely asking for anything from anyone. So here I am- asking for HER:
Nothing can ever prepare you for the loss of a loved one. The love of your life. Your partner in crime. Your soon-to-be husband forever. The father of your unborn child. Nothing.
Johnene is enduring a very traumatic time right now. She is greiving the abrupt loss of her fiance, and father of her child. But also, she is less than three weeks away from what should, and will be, the most amazing day of her life: giving birth to their baby. In this state of shock and devastation, it must be extremely difficult to forsee what comes next.  And though she doesn't know what the next step will be, we can ALL agree, I'm sure, that she should have help, support and comfort-knowing that whatever that is, she makes it not based solely on finances but for the betterment of her family. Lets come together and help her give their baby the life she and Torrey envisioned.
