New Boiler Needed for Our Church

Help us replace the boiler at Lakeview Community Church!
For over fifty years, Lakeview Community Church has been serving the lakefront community of Greece, New York, providing a place of worship where anyone can meet with God and everyone is welcome. We actively help in our local food distribution centers and we are proud to be a part of this community. We are known as “The Little Church with a Big Heart.”
This last winter, our sturdy old boiler began to show signs of serious wear. On a few Sundays everyone in the church had to keep on their coats, scarves, and hats, just to stay warm while the boiler was repaired. After several smaller repairs, we realized that a full upgrade to the heating system was needed. This new system will also be much more energy efficient. The total cost of the heating upgrade, including possible asbestos removal, will be around $40,000. [UPDATE: Because there is no asbestos to remove, the final cost will be closer to $37000.]
All donations will go directly to replace the current heating system in the church. We are hoping to have the new system in place by this winter, so that we can continue to be a warm and welcoming place of worship.
