Donating a Kidney To My Dad

A few months ago my father texted me and told me to call him. This may seem normal to you all, but my dad and I usually communicate through the video app Marco Polo or text message. I immediately thought something was wrong and I was kind of right.
When I called him he explained to me that his doctor told him that his kidneys were failing and that he would have to get dialysis and/or a kidney transplant. My first instinct was to offer to donate my kidney to him, but after visiting my doctor, we decided that it was not best for me to do it. We soon found out that my brother Remus (the 4th) was a match for my father and was willing to donate his kidney to him! Yayyyyy!!
They have just about finished up with all of the testing that they have to do prior to the transplant date, which should be taking place in a few weeks. We are super thankful that my brother is able and willing to donate a kidney to my father.
With this surgery taking place, my brother will have to be out of work and school for a while. My brother, Remus, is in culinary art school and he thought that he would be working at the Applebees in Kinston, NC until after graduation, but unfortunately, his location was one of the 135 that were closed down. We already knew that he would be fundraising for this procedure to take place due to my brother needing time to recover, but he was forced to be out of work much sooner than planned due to the sudden closing of his job.
We are asking for donations to help out with some expenses that come along with surgery as well as other needs for my brother when the transplant is taking place and after the transplant while he is recovering. The donations will really help out with his needs during this time! Your donations will also help my father, because due to my brother being willing to donate his kidney to him, he will not have to start dialysis or be put on a waiting list for a new kidney! Please, help us in reaching our goal! Anything will help and will be greatly appreciated!
