Newfield Park Youth Baseball

Founder and Navy Veteran Wesley Payne Jr being around the game of baseball for over 30 years has always had the vision and dream of starting a youth baseball league in his hometown of Bridgeport, CT for the underserved communities around the city. Newfield Park on the East End of the city was once a thriving baseball community, but that joy of the game has diminished over time. I look to bring that joy back to the East End while incorporating education, mentorship, and instruction to build a great league that motivates the surrounding youth to build on their abilities to progress in life through the sport of Baseball. As with every aspiration, there are finances involved. I'm reaching out to all able bodies to participate in the first round of funding to help facilitate this dream to come true. As donations and proceeds will go directly to funding equipment, facility management, team participation, and other financial requirements. Let's bring the sport back to the community and afford the youth an opportunity to enjoy another option of sport and education
