This past week, I’ve been presented the opportunity to run the New York City Marathon — my first ever marathon attempt. With that invitation came a challenge to not only to push myself to my limits physically, but to run for something bigger than myself.
As some of you may or may not know, my sister, Megan Ledvina, was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) a couple of years ago. MS is a disease that doesn’t give you a choice — it demands courage, grit, and constant adaptation. As a mother of 3, Megan faces it with dignity and determination, and I want to honor her fight by pushing myself in my own battles to better myself.
That’s why I’ve chosen to raise money to make a donation to the National MS Society — an organization leading the charge in research, advocacy, and support for the millions affected by MS. Their mission is to cure MS while empowering people living with it to live their best lives. Every donation makes a difference — from funding groundbreaking research to providing direct support for families navigating the disease.
My fundraising goal is $5,000 for the National MS Society. If you’re able to contribute, I’d be deeply grateful. No amount is too small.
