New Wheelchair for Benjamín

My name is Molly Malcolm Hayner and I'm helping to raise money for one of my son's dearest friends, Benjamín Calero. He lives in Barcelona. Some of you may already know his miraculous story :

Benjamín needs a new electric wheelchair. His current, very basic chair is broken. After several replacements and repairs, the battery no longer works. This situation deprives him of his independence and does not even allow him to carry out his normal daily activities. For the last year, his mobility has been severely affected and continues to cause him anxiety and frustration, as he is now completely dependent on his family, friends and teachers in order to travel anywhere.
For this reason we are asking for your help to buy him a new, more durable and reliable electric wheelchair. The total cost of the new chair is expensive and beyond Benjamín's family's means. Even with the money they have received from the social healthcare system, together with some savings, they still fall short. We are looking to raise the remaining 4.200€ to help Benjamín buy a chair that is more comfortable and with much better maneuverability. One of the most important features for Benjamín is the seat elevation function, allowing him to be at eye level with his peers. Having this new chair would be a dream come true and greatly help him to feel more integrated in social situations. We would love to be able to make this dream possible.
Together we can improve Benjamín's quality of life, and most importantly, help him to regain his independence as soon as possible.

A Benjamín le hace falta una silla eléctrica nueva. La que tiene actualmente es muy básica y también está rota. Pese a varias reparaciones y cambios de piezas, la batería ya no funciona. A consecuencia de esto, su independencia se ve severamente afectada y le impide llevar a cabo sus actividades diarias. Desde hace un año, la situación le causa ansiedad y frustración, ya que se encuentra completamente dependiente de su familia, amigos y profesores para desplazarse a cualquier sitio.
Por esta razón pedimos tu colaboración para poder comprarle una nueva silla que sea más duradera y fiable. El coste de la silla es muy elevado y fuera del alcance económico de Benjamín y su familia. A pesar de que la Seguridad Social contribuye una parte, más los ahorros familiares, estos no son suficientes para cubrir el importe total. Estamos intentando reunir los 4.200€ restantes para comprar a Benjamín una silla que sea más resistente y maniobrable. Una de las características más importantes de la silla es la capacidad de elevación, así Benjamín puede estar a la misma altura que sus compañeros. Sería un sueño hecho realidad y le ayudaría a sentirse mejor integrado en situaciones sociales. Nos encantaría hacer su sueño posible.
Juntos podemos mejorar la calidad de vida de Benjamín, y lo más importante que el recupere su autonomía e independencia lo antes posible.
