UPDATE: As of Friday, April 24, we are no longer taking donations for the NWC Staff Fund. We are forever indebted to the New Wave community for your generosity and the kind words that often came with your contributions!
For almost 35 years now, the New Wave Cafe has proudly served the Queen Village community in South Philadelphia. We know that we have succeeded for so many years because so many of you have chosen to make New Wave part of your lives. The staff at New Wave understand how many of you see us as not your bartenders, servers, or cooks, but as your friends and family. We feel the same, and we will never take that for granted.
As the need for "social distancing" in the wake of COVID-19 makes us all look at these coming weeks with uncertainty, we are humbled to ask our friends and neighbors for help while the restaurant is restricted to takeout only service. 100% of the proceeds from this fund will be divided equally between all hourly front and back of house staff at the New Wave, based on shifts missed due to these forced restaurant closures.
If you'd like to support the business itself during this time, we are currently open for beer, wine, and food takeout, as well as delivery orders through GrubHub from 11am-11pm every day. Additionally, we are selling gift cards at a 20% discount that may be used after July 1, 2020.
