The Tillers are a beloved family in our church family, in the Wauconda community, and beyond. Their sacrifice and love for others around them is inspiring, and their investment into the people of our community is unmatched.
In order to best serve their own family and our community, they need a reliable vehicle. Working closely with Chael (this is Meg speaking), I know first hand the troubles with their cars. Right now, their family van is on it's last leg. It's smashed on one side from a deer running into them. Door handles have fallen off. Rubber has been stripped from doors in other accidents (not their fault). Not to mention, the van is nearly 18 years old.
This October is pastor appreciation month, and specifically October 14th is Pastor Appreciation Sunday, and we wanted to do something BIG and UNEXPECTED to bless and surprise them. What better way than to gift them with a new (used) FAMILY VAN!
A team of folks from our church have stepped up to do the purchasing behind the Tiller family's backs, but we are in need of funding! Our goal is to gift them this van with a giant red bow on Sunday, October 14th, for pastor appreciation day.
If you have in any way been impacted by this family and want to show your love and support, please consider gifting monetarily to this fund. If you are unable to donate at this time, we'd still appreciate your prayer for this process! And everyone is invited to the service on Sunday, October 14th for the BIG REVEAL! (We meet at Messiah Lutheran on Sundays at 4pm, 25225 N. Ivanhoe Rd., Wauconda, IL)
We know this is a tall order, but we also know that his family, friends, and community are rare folks who come through for loved ones. Let's make it happen and give the Tillers a new ride!
