New Teeth for Andy

Donation protected
Softball, as it turns out, is a dangerous sport. Andy, unfortunately, learned this the hard way.

It was just another softball practice. The team was together working on some fielding drills after doing some batting practice. Nerves had settled, people were getting comfortable with the drills, and then a mistake happened. Two balls were thrown to Andy at first base. He was fielding the first and didn’t even know the second was on its way. He caught the first in his glove and the second on his mouth.

Despite the term “softball”, those balls aren’t soft at all.

Andy dropped like a rock but his tooth still hit the ground before he did. The second tooth knocked out by the errant throw was still in his mouth. The team rushed to his side, mortified by what they just witnessed. It didn’t take long to get him to the hospital but the teeth couldn’t be saved.

The next day he went to the dentist and got dealt another blow. $14,000 for two new teeth. Oh, and it’ll take a year. Turns out it’s a lengthy process that starts with healing then continues with temporary partial dentures, more healing, a bone graft, more healing, implants, more healing then finally two artificial teeth.

This campaign is brought to you by the miserable teammates that let this accident happen. We want to make Andy whole again and would very much appreciate any help that you can give.
