Hello everyone! You’re looking at the new Soundstakk Studios to be. Couldn’t be more proud to say that we finally have a new location where the future magic will happen.
Now with your help we can ensure that we can start creating magic as soon as possible
Let me break things down for you.
Yes, IMGL/Ugritone is our livelihood these days, it’s a job and it pays the bills but that’s it - we’re not millionaires, we don’t have fat stacks of dough sitting on a high-interest savings account somewhere. And because we chose to commit to our business on a full-time basis, in the eyes of financial lending institutions - we are considered unemployed.
We’re living from paycheck to paycheck so pulling $4200 out of a magicians hat simply doesn’t exist for us.
Okay you guys need my money, what’s in it for me?
The reason for Soundstakk acquiring new studio space is that we can produce drum samples, guitar IR’s and other future libraries for you on a regular basis. We’re not fond of booking a big name studio with a big name engineer just to make a damn drum library. We’re DIY and as far as I’m concerned, we’re constantly getting better at what we do. We want to eliminate the element of rushing from our future products, we don’t want to cut any corners simply because the timeline wasn’t working. By us having our own workspace will allow us to create the no-bullshit products so that YOU don’t have to make any compromises in YOUR music.
Right now my dear e-kit is sitting in a u-Haul Self Storage and I’m sure the kits just as anxious as myself to reunite and lay down some more beats for you.
Continuation of drum MIDI, KVLT 2, Guitar Amp Sim and any other future projects can be accomplished with or without any contribution - BUT - as I mentioned earlier, we do live from paycheck to paycheck and acquiring the needed gear could take us months, even up to a year before we are ready to take our products to the next level. Maybe you already have all the MIDI you’ll ever need, maybe our original sample libraries are already the best you could hope for, and maybe we’ve already provided everything you guys’ll ever need as far as making demos/songwriting/production goes.
Wanna know what I think? We haven’t even started with this thing yet.
Ok where does the figure $4200 come from?
That 3-grand will spent of bare essentials, studio racks, acoustic panels, mic cables, few extra mics, preamps, headphone amplifiers not on Gucci bags and lavish Las Vegas trips. Nothing fancy here but so that we wouldn’t have to look for hardware in dumpsters and on the side of the road.
Enough of my yapping because I’ve got work to do and a studio to build. I’m asking you though, do you want to wait (worst case) for another year for things like KVLT 2, Amp Sim, more MIDI etc? Do I have $10-20 to spare on some idiots wild-eyed vision?
