<div>Hi, my name is Stephanie, and I’m reaching out from Homer, Alaska with a plea for help.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This summer, our beloved dog Butters was relentlessly pursued by a male dog whose owners were out of state and neglecting his care. Despite our efforts to keep Butters safe—always leashed, never left unattended—this dog entered our yard at all hours, even 2, 3, 4 AM. We contacted the owners multiple times, but nothing changed.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We tried to do the responsible thing and get Butters spayed. I called every vet in Homer, Anchor Point, and Soldotna. Even with a coupon from Homer Friends of Animals, the lowest price was nearly $700—far beyond what we could afford.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>And then, in less than five minutes of her being outside, the inevitable happened. Butters became pregnant.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Now we have nine beautiful puppies who deserve proper care: vaccinations, deworming, and a healthy start to life. And Butters still needs to be spayed so this doesn’t happen again.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>What We’re Asking For
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re raising funds to cover:
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>• Vaccinations and deworming for all 9 puppies
</div>
<div>• Veterinary care for Butters
</div>
<div>• ✂️ Spaying Butters to prevent future litters
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Every dollar helps. Whether it’s $5 or $50, your support means the world to us—and to these innocent pups who didn’t ask to be born into a tough situation.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>We’re doing our best to be responsible pet owners. We just need a little help to get through this unexpected challenge.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting. From our family (and Butters’ growing one) to yours—thank you.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Update 10.9.2015
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Butters is at the vet waiting surgery for an abscess due to the mastitis. Waiting to hear back regarding the cost .
