Who are we?

Lucas Cwmbran AFC are a founding member of the Gwent County Football League. Formed as part of two

factories, Cwmbran Girlings FC and Pontypool Girlings FC, these two sides combined in the 90s to become a

stronger team competing as Girlings FC. In the noughties Saunders Valve FC amalgamated with the club to

create the present club of Lucas Cwmbran AFC.

Lucas Cwmbran AFC provides a safe and enjoyable environment for all players, both local to Cwmbran and further

afield, to play regular football. The club currently run 2 men's senior team, 1 ladies senior team, 3 Junior team, we have 120 playing members as part of club and always looking to development and increase number of participants within the club.

Why are we crowdfunding?

The club are actively trying to improve the facilities that we currently use but to do this we are currently in the process of finalising a grant application, as part of this process the club need to be able to contribute financially towards this grant.

How we’ll spend the money raised

The money will be spend on allowing us to continually improve the pitch facilities that we use within our home ground.

By contributing to this fundraising, the club will be able to provide better playing facilities for the community.
