New Percussion for our HS Band

Donation protected
This is my first year here at SGCHS and the year has been incredible! After the band director of 37 years retired, there have been three directors here before me. The program had some ups and downs. When I signed my contract, there were 11 students signed up for band. By the beginning of the year, we had 18. At the start of the second semester there were 30 students signed up for band! This equipment has been here a while! I'm trying to replace it for the fantastic students here at Sweet Grass County High School. The Timpani no longer has replacement parts made for them. One of the pedals is stuck so one of them can't be tuned. The bass drum in the grade school here has a big enough hole in it to put your hand and arm in it. The bass drum pictured would go to the grade school and the new one would be at the high school. The xylophone stand has been repaired before, but is leaning to one side so bad that I'm afraid to move it. I feel I am going to walk in one day and find it collapsed on the floor. Also, the grade school doesn't have anything mallet-wise besides a set of student level bells that were left by a former student. I would move this xylophone down there and have a new one in the high school. I want to provide these amazing students with equipment that is functional and sounds great!
