*New Park* for Seminole Heights

Over the last several months, the staff at the Wayne C. Papy Athletic Center in Seminole Heights has been working *very* hard raising funds (shout out to Brenda!) to get a beautiful, new playground built on-site.  This playground is planned to sit just outside their doors (FL Ave and Sligh) and would serve families of the recreation center and all Seminole Heights neighbors and residents.  The Center has raised over $36,000 through fundraisers and grants and has the approval of the City with one catch . . . a fence must be installed (as pictured) around the playground, estimated at $8,000.  This is where we need your help -- relatively quickly -- as this money must be raised over the next 5 weeks before the grants expire.  

This new park has been rendered and is not only beautiful, it's designed to keep our kids busy and active with features including challenging rock wall climbers, hex pod steps, a spiral slide and a tube slide.  

For quite some time, Seminole Heights has had a gap with it's playgrounds and this is a huge step forward.  This playground would provide a safe, fun place for our kids to play while helping to increase the value of our homes and neighborhood.  It is a win-win for all residents and any support you can provide is very much appreciated.

Whether your donation is $5, $10, $25 or $100 -- it all adds up; if only 1/4 of our residents contribute, we can meet this goal in DAYS.  

As a mom of two kids who love going to playgrounds for hours on end, I am so excited about this park coming to Seminole Heights and know that we, as a community, can make it happen.
