New Orleans music friend in need.

I have a friend in New Orleans who is experiencing an emergency.

She is Patricia (Pat Byrd) Walton, the only daughter of Professor Longhair, the great inventor of the unique New Orleans R&B, Boogie Woogie piano style that profoundly influenced so many other musical greats, both in New Orleans and around the world.

Pat is in a desperate financial need caused by a series of traumatic situations outside her control. She has spent her life giving to others, especially musicians in New Orleans, while at the same time preserving her father's memory and historical legacy.
