Community Church of New York has a long and rich history of standing by and fighting for those who have been disenfranchised, displaced- people who live on the margins of society.
Today is no different.
As New York City confronts the dangers of COVID-19, there’s an urgency to our need to care for each other. With millions of people out of work, we are raising money to pay for rent, utilities and food for people who have lost jobs as a result of this crisis. Today we are asking for your help to join us to help raise funds for our new initiative: The New Leaf Fund.
The New Leaf Fund is an effort designed to help people who have recently lost their jobs due to the shelter in place order.
We will continue to update our data, here, in the GoFundMe page in order to promote transparency and to celebrate your generous spirit.
If you are unable to contribute to this fund, we understand. There are still many ways you can help us:
1. Please share this fundraiser on every social media outlet with the hashtag: #newleaffund so that we can spread the word.
2. Visit ccny.org to find other ways to support our church and its mission and initiatives.
