New Haven Black & Latinx History Tour

Donation protected

Thanks to all who contributed to paying high school students for their intellectual labor, as they share their research on New Haven's Black, Indigenous, and Latinx history. With these funds, students took the map (which is linked below) to the next level, creating audio versions of two walking tours of New Haven, one of the Hill and one of Dixwell. These tours will be shared with the public and will be featured as part of New Haven's International Festival of Arts and Ideas, and are linked below as well.

The tours are free and available to the public through a platform called Your Audio Tour, which is very accessible and interactive, sharing not only audio descriptions and directions, but also images. The tours can be downloaded and accessed without wifi. In order to make all these features possible, the platform costs $30/monthly to maintain. We welcome your donations to help maintain these tours for years to come, and to keep them free and accessible to all through this platform.
